The Health Communication Research Center (HCRC) is accepting applications for the summer Smith/Patterson Fellowship.
One Fellow works with the HCRC over the summer and has the opportunity to work on new and ongoing health and science communication grants and contracts.
The fellowship has a modest stipend and is open to any U.S.-based master’s student interested in science journalism or a health communication-related field. Additional details>>>
The annual fellowship is made possible through a $100,000 gift from Russell G. Smith II in honor of former Missouri School of Journalism Professor Joye Patterson. Patterson was a pioneer in science journalism and taught science writing at the J-school from 1966-88. She died in 2012. Read more from the J-School>>>
