A short time ago, I was honored to be invited to attend the MU Honors Convocation as a mentor. As I looked around the room at the 1,324 honors graduates and respective mentors filling Mizzou Arena, I thought about the amazing futures the people in that room would have and the places that they would go.
I recognized many of the faces in the room that day as those who had worked with the HCRC in one way or another. Some of them had worked with us through the SciXchange program and others had taken a health communication class I had taught or had worked directly in our offices.
As this academic year comes to a close, I’d like to thank all of these students for their hard work and wish them all best as they move to the next stage of their lives. We hope that something learned during their time working with us will aid them in their future endeavors. I know each of us in the HCRC will remember these students fondly.
So congratulations to master’s graduates Alex, Tony, Natalie and Dustin, and to our many graduating seniors:
- the SciXchange J-School crew of Nina, Sarah and Amanda S.,
- the Hughes Fellows seniors Derek, Jackie, Amanda, Leslie, Justin, Andy, Amanda, Drew and Rebecca, and
- our graphic artist, John.
We wish you all the best in the places you’ll go!
