Jon Stemmle is the Center's assistant director. His role in the Center involves managing grants, coordinating research with the HCRC graduate students, managing the HCRC Office, and handling all strategic communication resulting from Center research projects and events, including press releases and Web sites. He works with project leaders to develop communication materials, such as white papers and grant summaries, and does the Center's media relations. Stemmle has a decade of experience as a journalist and has spent the last 10 years in public relations. He has an M.A. in Journalism from the University of Arizona.
